World's Best Butter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 230g unsalted butter, softened (1 cup).
02 - 120g powdered sugar (1 cup).
03 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
04 - 250g all-purpose flour (2 cups).
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Put parchment paper on two baking sheets.
02 - Beat butter and sugar until fluffy and light, about 3 minutes. Stir in vanilla until well mixed.
03 - Mix in flour and salt slowly until dough forms. Don't mix too much.
04 - Make 1-inch balls or pipe dough with star tip. Place cookies 2 inches apart on sheets.
05 - Cook for 10-12 minutes until edges turn slightly golden. Centers should stay light.
06 - Let sit 5 minutes on sheet, then move to cooling rack.

# Notes:

01 - Add almond extract or lemon zest for extra flavor.
02 - Top with sugar before baking or drizzle chocolate after.
03 - Keeps one week in container, three months frozen.
