Homemade Vanilla Sweetener (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 cup water (240ml)
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)

→ Flavoring

03 - 2 tsp pure vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Pour the granulated sugar and water into a small saucepan. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture just begins to boil—this usually takes about 3 minutes. The sugar should fully dissolve, leaving the mixture clear and smooth.
02 - Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla bean paste or extract to infuse the syrup with its rich aroma and flavor.
03 - Transfer the syrup to a clean container, such as a mason jar, and let it cool to room temperature before sealing. Store the vanilla simple syrup in the refrigerator for up to a month.

# Notes:

01 - Use room-temperature tap water for best results.
02 - Granulated sugar dissolves easily, but you can also try extra fine sugar or caster sugar for faster mixing.
03 - Pure vanilla bean paste adds speckles of vanilla seeds, giving the syrup a beautiful appearance. Regular vanilla extract works too!
04 - Store your homemade syrup in an airtight container in the fridge to extend its shelf life.
