Smothered Pork Chops (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 bone-in pork chops, 1-inch thick.
02 - Salt and pepper to taste.
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
04 - 1 medium onion, sliced.
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
06 - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced.
07 - 1 cup beef broth.
08 - 1 cup heavy cream.
09 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
10 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika.
11 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Sprinkle salt and pepper generously on both sides of the pork chops.
02 - Heat oil in large skillet and brown pork chops 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
03 - In same pan, cook onions until soft, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and mushrooms, cook another 3-4 minutes.
04 - Pour in broth and scrape up browned bits. Stir in cream, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika.
05 - Return chops to pan, cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until tender. Garnish with parsley.

# Notes:

01 - Best served with mashed potatoes or rice.
02 - Add cayenne for extra heat if desired.
03 - Bone-in chops provide better flavor.
