Salted Butterscotch Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted.
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed.
04 - 2 large eggs, room temperature.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 - 2/3 cup all-purpose flour.
07 - 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
10 - 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
11 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for butterscotch).
12 - 3/4 cup light brown sugar (for butterscotch).
13 - 1/4 cup heavy cream.
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for butterscotch).
15 - 1/4 cup chocolate chips for drizzle (optional).
16 - Flaky sea salt for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Line 8x8 pan with parchment.
02 - Mix wet ingredients, then fold in sifted dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
03 - Simmer butter, brown sugar and cream 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla.
04 - Add half batter, swirl in butterscotch, top with remaining batter and butterscotch.
05 - Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick has moist crumbs.
06 - Cool, drizzle with melted chocolate if desired, sprinkle with sea salt.

01 - Use room temperature eggs.
02 - Don't overbake.
03 - Can be frozen up to 3 months.
