Puff Pastry Hearts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade).
02 - 2-3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for sweet version).
03 - Herbs and cheese (for savory version).
04 - 1 tablespoon melted butter.
05 - 1 egg (optional, for egg wash).
06 - 2-3 tablespoons fruit jam or chocolate spread (optional).
07 - 1 tablespoon grated cheese (optional).
08 - Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 400°F. Roll out pastry on floured surface to 12x10 inch rectangle.
02 - Use cookie cutter or knife to cut heart shapes from pastry.
03 - For sweet version add jam/chocolate, for savory add cheese/herbs in center of each heart.
04 - Fold edges over filling leaving small border. Can create frilled effect.
05 - Brush with butter or egg wash. Place on lined baking sheet.
06 - Bake 10-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
