Oreo Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted.
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed.
04 - 3 large eggs, room temperature.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
07 - 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
09 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
10 - 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped (for batter).
11 - 12 Oreo cookies, halved or crushed (for topping).
12 - 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Line 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk melted butter and sugars, then add eggs one at a time and vanilla.
03 - Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Fold into wet mixture.
04 - Pour half batter, add layer of Oreos, top with remaining batter.
05 - Add crushed Oreos and optional chips on top. Bake 30-35 minutes.
06 - Cool 20 minutes in pan before cutting into 16 squares.

# Notes:

01 - Don't overbake for fudgy texture.
02 - Use room temperature eggs.
03 - Can be frozen up to 3 months.
