Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the tater tots. Typically, this is around 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 28 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Once baked, remove the tater tots from the oven and let them cool slightly so they're easy to handle. Thread 4 to 6 tater tots onto each skewer, arranging them neatly.

Arrange the skewered tater tots on a clean parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle each skewer generously with grated cheddar cheese, followed by finely chopped bacon bits. Top with half of the chopped green onions.
