Lemon Cream Cheese Dump Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Base

01 - 1 box yellow cake mix (or lemon cake mix)
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

→ Filling and Topping

03 - 1 can (21 oz) lemon pie filling
04 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 1 egg
08 - Zest of 1 lemon
09 - Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
02 - Combine cake mix with melted butter until crumbly. Spread 2/3 of mixture in pan and press down lightly.
03 - Spread lemon pie filling evenly over the cake mix base.
04 - Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth. Spread over lemon filling.
05 - Sprinkle remaining cake mix mixture over cream cheese layer.
06 - Bake for 35-40 minutes until top is golden brown and cream cheese layer is set.
07 - Cool for 30 minutes before slicing. Optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving.

01 - Can use lemon cake mix for extra lemon flavor
02 - Layers will firm up as cake cools
03 - Delicious served with vanilla ice cream
