Italian Sausage Orzo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed.
02 - 1 cup orzo pasta.
03 - 1 cup bell peppers, diced.
04 - 1 medium onion, diced.
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
06 - 2 cups chicken broth.
07 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped.
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil and cook crumbled sausage 5-7 minutes until golden. Remove from pan.
02 - Sauté onion and garlic until soft, then add peppers and cook 5-7 minutes.
03 - Add orzo and broth, bring to boil then simmer 10-12 minutes until tender.
04 - Return sausage to pan, simmer 5 minutes more. Add fresh herbs before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Use mild or spicy sausage based on preference.
02 - Can use any color bell peppers.
03 - Keep some extra broth handy to adjust consistency.
