Heart Shaped Chocolate Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
03 - ¾ teaspoon salt
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
05 - ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
06 - ½ cup granulated sugar
07 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
08 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
09 - 1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips (mix of regular and mini)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
03 - Use an electric mixer to cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
04 - Mix in eggs and vanilla until just combined.
05 - Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until no flour streaks remain. Fold in chocolate chips.
06 - Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto baking sheet, spacing 2-3 inches apart. Bake 9-11 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
07 - Immediately cut hot cookies into hearts with cookie cutter. Cool on sheet 5-7 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
