Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
02 - 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini preferred)
03 - 4 tbsp butter
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 cup heavy cream
06 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
07 - Salt and pepper, to taste
08 - Fresh basil, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
02 - Melt 2 tbsp butter, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken cubes and cook until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
03 - In same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add cream and Parmesan, cooking until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
04 - Toss pasta with sauce, fold in chicken. Adjust consistency with pasta water if needed. Garnish with basil and extra Parmesan.

01 - Can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu
02 - Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms if desired
